Carob Banana Brownies

Today I went on a recipe hunt calling for bananas because we had several beyond the peel & eat stage. I came up with 'Chocolate Banana Walnut Brownies' from ExtraVeganZa because it calls for 3 bananas. I followed the recipe, except for a few minor modifications: I used carob powder instead of cocoa, used chocolate Silk instead of vanilla, and omitted the walnuts. I also just tossed the carob chips in the mix without melting them, which worked out fine. We topped the brownies with a cookie scoop of Soy Dream. What a delicious way to utilize old bananas!

Two of my fave fruits... carob and bananas! (At least i THINK carob is considered a fruit, no?!)

At the O.B. People's Co-Op, for many years in the past until recently, i always used to special order vegan banana cake w/carob chips and their special vegan creme sauce. I haven't ordered it in a long time (finances!) but this is makin' me hunger for it. I'll have to go this week and place an order for it.

Wow, y'know i would so love this... especially since it's sans walnuts (not a fan). Chocolate Silk must have really made it extra extra delicioso!

YUMMY!!! This might be one of my fave sweets i've seen you post about, if not one of the best on the internet for all time. For what it's worth...

*sigh* if only you lived nearby...

That looks seriously good. Is it a raw recipe? I've been seeing a lot of raw brownie recipes lately and want to give it a try.

Mmmm brownies. You know Extraveganza is on my wishlist.

Gadzooks, I missed a lot of posts while I was gone.

That streudel look yummy and how cute is your daughter making those cookies?

It looks like a good recipe too. Coffee must make those cookies taste super rich!

that looks delicious.. I haven't had carob for years.. I should get some carob powder.. I ate a lot of it growing up..

I have two very very ripe bananas that I need to use somehow.. they are riper than I can stand in most things.. even smoothies, so baking is my only option.
