Outrageous Orange Pear Strudel

Tomorrow morning we are off to California! In addition to visiting family & friends, I have a couple restaurants that I want to try. For now, I'll leave you with a solution for that left-over Fillo pastry in your fridge...

You Need:
Juice of 1 Orange
2 Pears, diced
3/4 C Florida Crystals
couple shakes Cardamon
6 Fillo Sheets
Almonds, for the top

Oh, how did you know about the leftover fillo? Now I just need to scoot and get some pears. Yum! This looks tasty.

This looks so good...and professional!

I admit that i have never done anything with fillo as it scares me. Should I be scared?

Happy belated blog anniversary! I just started using filo dough and it's not as scary as I once thought it to be. I've wondered if you could make strudel out of it. I'm defintely going to try this. Thanks for the mini recipe (my favorite kind).

Now that sounds great. I always have left over filo or spring roll wrappers so could use it up that way.

I'm way behind on my blog reading and have been doing some catch-up. Just wanted to say happy blogiversary and congratulate you on the fabulous dishes you've been cooking up. I'm sorry I'm just now checking in because I could have used some new ideas for leftover fillo dough! Wonderful blog you have here.
